‘Avatar’ Sequel Will Push The Envelope Again, Says Sam Worthington MTV Movies Blog

can't wait!

Didn't care much for the first one but Cameron's sequels are usually better than the 1st ones. (Terminator 2, Aliens, etc.)

I liked the first one, but the writing was horrible.

Also, if you want to make a point and paint non-advanced, indigenous humanoids as guardians of the environment (which is historically inaccurate) then don't telepathically link your protagonists to said environment. I'm pretty sure we wouldn't chop down trees that could bring the dead back to life. I'm pretty sure we wouldn't use as much petroleum if we could ride dragons.

I saw Avatar x-mas O9' and thought it was ok. Tried to watch it again about a week ago and couldn't. Turned it off.

First one was good, but way, way overhyped. Can't really say this one is a must see for me.

I thought the first was pretty good & the visuals were very nice. I think some dislike it just for the sake of disliking it.

Not really, there's plenty to hate. Visually it was good but the story was a cliched mess that's been done several times (and much better). The characters were horribly one dimensional and the dialouge was laughable.

What movie is original now days? Everything has pretty much been done but I can't recall earth ever invading a planet & mining it's resources & using indigenous alien bodies controlled by humans to interact with the natives.

If you the same story and put it on another planet, it's still the same story.
