What do you get when you take the action of 300, setting and story of Gladiator and then mix in drama that rivals The Sopranos??
This show.
It's on Starz and Netflix(streaming too!) My favorite series since The Sopranos and Band of Brothers.
(not for the kiddies- gratuitous sex and violence throughout this one)

| I thought it was going to be completely retarded... but I'm a sucker for the gratuitousness. The story started getting established by about the 3rd or 4th Episode and it's got some pretty good twists in it.
They ran with, but didn't really embellish history too much either. It isn't as fantastical as 300 is. | |

| Word is the 2nd season is suspended indefinitely due to health problems with the lead actor(forgot his name). There are talks of a prequel instead.

| yeah i watched the whole season about a week ago on netflix. awesome show. i hated to hear the lead actor got cancer. gonna be tough to find someone to pull off the part he played as good as he did.
i really wanted to see more of her as well.

| Watched the new episode last night. Was afraid I wouldn't be able to get into it as much due to it being a prequel, but the first episode was pretty awesome. Lots of sex and some sick fighting scenes. Hopefully a good season.
