So its three Japanese teenage girls dressed up in anime, doing dance moves, backed by a metal band and metal band theatrics. I'd not heard of them until recently, but they are apparently immensely popular overseas and have played here, including alongside the likes of Stone Temple Pilots and opened for the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Kind of a Kiss Meets the Pedophile of the Park if they'd done the movie in Japan.

Yeah, it seems like their audience is going to be creepy guys in their 40s and a bunch of teenage girls. So really its the perfect show for Roy Moore (couldn't resist!).

The band is actually pretty good. Reminds of Dragon force.

Yeah, the young girls doesn't match well with metal for me, but to each his own.

It's like watching a live anime show. All that's missing are cartoonish "ka-pows."

The Japanese pop-culture fascination with school girls is disturbing.

Fusing K-Pop with Death Metal is kinda like dipping a french fry in ice cream and eating it....the thought of it is repulsive but also strangely alluring at the same time.

LG..Go to Epcot. Go to the Japan pavilion. Walk back into their "cute culture" section. Gawk in horror and strange amazement. Then you will "get" this.

Then go google Deadlift Lolita and Ladybaby..Japanese metal..2 female singers..and a cross dressing Australian male bodybuilder vocalist............

They formed their own mosh pit, that's funny.

The lead singer is actually 20.

Now she is but Babymetal first came out in 2010. The other two are 2 years younger. They were yuuuuung when this first started.

Almost...

They have this display where "Japanese Business Man" is like a trend...like you might not have a job..but you dress up like a business man for attention. Weird, weird, weird sh!#.

Fun fact : If you make eye contact with any of the female Japanese employees they will stop, bow to you, and same some gibberish in Japanese (or Welcome to Japan..hard to tell). Its a fun time when you're a little liquored up.

Yes, but It's not Japan where they are most popular. It's apparently England.

Yes, they found success early on in England:

They likely will have another headlining tour in the US in 2018. Maybe they'll swing by close enough for BOH (their bass player) to visit Lynchburg. He's a big fan.
