This is big for those that don't know Brian Michael Bendis is one the biggest names in comic books especially Marvel. He was instrumental in reintroducing Guardians of the Galaxy into Marvel in 2012.

In 2001 he along with artist Michael Gaydos created the character Jessica Jones that now has her on Marvel TV series on Netflix.

I saw this quote on Facebook.

"To the nerd world, this is like when LeBron left Cleveland, only if he'd left to go to a team that used to be great but hadn't made the playoffs in years."

You have to think that as talented a writer as he is that they will get him involved in the film universe in some capacity.

Thank God!

I hate how his work infected every corner of the MU over the past 15 years or so. I liked him at first but his style started to grate on me about half way through his Daredevil run. His dialog in particular was atrocious. Every character stuttered and stammered their way through 16 panel grids of stalking heads. It was tedious.

He did have big interesting ideas but they always fell flat in the middle and the climax IMO. He was also the main offender of decompressed storytelling where everything needed 6 issues to tell. I remember him boasting about he and Mark Bagely breaking Stan and Jack’s consecutive FF run with Ultimate Spider-Man. I was like... dude... you were mostly respinning old stories and and taking 5x as long to do it.

He was running out of characters to write at Marvel though. He did a stint on just about everything except FF (which he did some Ultimate FF I guess) and Hulk maybe.
