So haunting and foretelling. I'm in shock. Chester was such an amazing artist and poet. I can't even deal right now. I didn't know him personally but his music has always spoken to my soul

Sad. I read that he and Cornell were close. I was always a fan of Linkin Park even though they get a lot of flack for their music. Their early stuff is great.

Screw that crybaby! I would gladly trade my problems with his. He should've thought about his kids. I have no sympathy for him

I've lost a father in law, a grandfather, aunt, two uncles and a best friend to suicide and have almost went through with it myself a few years back. You can never know what goes through others heads and Clinical Depression is something I wouldn't wish on anyone. It's such a hopeless feeling when you don't want to exist even though you have no outside reason to feel that way. Tell those around you that you love them because none of us are promised tomorrow.

So you wished you were sexually assaulted when you were 7 years old by an older guy? Money and fame isn't everything man. It doesn't always solve life's problems.

The lyrics have always been there. All the way back to hybrid theory you can tell not just anyone can write those.

But man.. a couple of the songs on the newest album are chilling to listen to now. I just think of what had to be going through his head when he wrote them. It's almost like it was right in our face the whole time, but everyone thinks of them as just songs. Heavy, sorry for now, one more light.. they are all so much deeper now.

I've been listening to his songs all evening and I won't lie I've teared up a few times. He had such a haunted beautiful soul. He was a poet.

I dont know much about this band, but was that one of the last songs made ? Its like it was written knowing what he was planning to do

That was written a few years ago. People who commit suicide due to depression often think about the act for years.

You can hear the warning signs all through the interview.

"this place right here? this skull between my ears? That's a bad neighbourhood and I should not be in there alone. I can't be there by myself..... this is a bad place to be by myself"

Anyone who suffers from Clinical Depression can relate to that on every level.
