I'm a huge country guy, that's really all I listen to with the occasional 70's or 80's rock, but I have a question to all of you who are rock fans. What new bands today, would you say have the classic sound of ac/dc, kiss,Motley Crue, and Def Leppard? I'm looking to kinda add some new rock bands to my rock playlist on Spotify.

Wow, thank you. I really like their sound.i was convinced all rock today was nothing but loud screaming. Glad to see there's some real rock still out there.

They did a cover of Cheap Tricks Mighty Wings from the Top Gun Soundtrack that's freaking awesome also the song One Single Breath kicks azz

Have you listened to Volbeat or Bullet for my Valentine? I don't really love a lot of newer rock, but that's two bands that spring to mind you might check out.

Finally got to see Dr Dog a few weeks ago live. Good guys. Good show.

People's Blues of Richmond is a great 3 piece somewhat akin to White Stripes. These guys will rock your face off live.

King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizard might be unknown to folks here. Good stuff. Putting out several albums this year. Very 60s/70s psychedelic music.

They are really good. Looks like they mostly tour the U.K. Though which kinda sucks, I'd like to see them live.

This thread makes me think about the What Ever Happened To series on VH1. They did an episode or two on hair metal and I remember there was a guy from Kix who was hanging billboard posters as his post rock star career.

Posted a thread about them last week...but check out Greta Van Fleet. They sound like a mix between Led Zeppelin and Rush.

If you just listened to this song and didn't watch the video, you'd think that this was Robert Plant singing a song they never released.

Greta Van Fleet.

Just heard this band the other day. Any Led Zeppelin fans out there will probably enjoy them. Sounds so similar to them that I thought it was demo songs that was recently discovered.
