The most haunting voices in music

I was watching Jimmy Fallon last night and Chris Cornell was on the show. And, listening to his voice, I started to wonder. Which singers have the most haunting voices in music.

Like Cornell, there's just something about his voice. When he sings black days. haunting, is the best word that I can come up with.

I was also thinking, Ralph Stanley when he sang,"O' death.
