If it's considered a movie, Band of Brothers is my favorite entertainment production ever.

Mrs. Miniver (1942)

While not a war movie in the sense that it takes place on the battlefield. I thought it was really good when I watched it for the first time last summer!

great list, though it's criminally missing Das Boot.

I'll also throw in Braveheart, Letters From Iwo Jima, and The Thin Red Line. Could go on all day adding a whole lot more that are on the threshold of what we are considering "war" movies really.

and did someone really give Pearl Harbor a mention? :p

Mel Gibson butchers history to where all his movies are horrible to me. I realize there's a need for entertainment value, but sheesh.
