"Does your workout include an urban obstacle course with a flat-screen TV on your back?" she claimed Balash asked her during the week of July 28, 2007 while working in Indianapolis.

When packing up a dark garage at Texas Motor Speedway an official told Grant: "Keep smiling and pop your eyes out 'cause we can't see you."

i love nascar don't get me wrong, and i actually see a lot more ppl from other racial backgrounds working, but what can you say it's still a good ole boy type of deal

I'd say that is 100% true and exactly what she is banking on. The story is prolly true for the most part tho.

The sad thing is I saw Bud Moore's name mentioned in some of the reports of how he flashed her. If true, that's sad that one of the sport's pioneers is acting like that.

Nascar has had it good for a long time. This is definately a huge chunk of negative publicity. I wonder if it affects them in the least?

I used to be the biggest fan. I never watch the whole race now. It pretty much has went straight downhill IMO. They have alienated their core base of fans who made it what it is today.

I would think it will make their publicity re affirmative action look a bit shallow. This employee came in as part of that program, and she was recommended by Magic Johnson. Also the settlement will most likely be at least 20-25 M IMO, not something inconsequential when it is an unbudgeted expense.

If in fact she was discriminated against because of her race , well that's a shame , but if she was discriminated because she's a woman , then there are some really hard up people in the nascar circle . Man she's ugly . JMO

As a member of the ugly people consortium, I am filing suit, or you can just send your Harley and it will all go away.
