| | Senior Member | NASCAR pick'em for 2008 The 2008 NASCAR season is just around the corner. There will be a new sponsor, new drivers with new teams and completely different vehicles and different sponsors for the drivers. Good luck to all.
Who will control the 2008 seeason? Will HMS do it again or will some of the teams win more races than in 2007?
Here are ideas for the 2008 season.
First of all this is the largest group of people on any board that I have a NASCAR pick'em on. We average over 25 players every week. Most others only have 8-10.
I work 4 other boards. I'd still like assistance during the season. At some point I don't want to be full time on every board. I'd prefer to do it part time on some and get someone to take over on other boards. Since this board is the largest I'll help as much as possible as long as I get help.
1. Pick the top 5 drivers every week along with the race winner (25 extra points if picked correctly)
2. Pick the pole winner-20 extra points if picked correctly.
3. Sometime during the season pick the top 5 finishes for the CUP. This will be done NLT the 20th race of the season. Additional points will be given for positions.
4. Extra points (15) given if you have 3 drivers in the top 5 and (50) if all 5 are in the top 5.(note: changed)
You have to play at least 50% of the time to keep your scores current (i.e. listed on the board).
If you have any other ideas let me know.
Thanks and best of luck to all who play.

Although HMS will be the team to beat, they will not be as dominant as in 2007. Two reasons; other teams should have a better handle on the COT, and HMS will win fewer races with Jr than with Bush. Since this board is the largest I'll help as much as possible as long as I get help.
I would be willing to help, let me know if and how. |

| i disagree. Kyle Bush has been in a championship level team for however long and has nothing to show for it than a couple of trophies and a giant scrap heap. this year: DJr.= 4 wins KBush=0 |

| how many has Bush won? it is not Jr's fault that DEI engines cant last a 500 mile race. Kyle Bush has been driving an absolute rocket, with nothing to show for. i will say that Kyle Bush is talented and fun to watch, but he hasnt proved much, as of yet. |

A driver can affect the life of an engine by over revving, missing a shift, etc. There have been drivers intentionally do this when they were leaving a team...........could there be a reverse (all are normally someone plotting against Jr) conspiratory theory involving Jr? |

| Same here. I finished top 10 every week but started very late in the season. That said,I'll never see the top 10 this year probably. |
