Eury Jr gone after 'Dega

Eury Jr is leaving DEI after Dega in Oct for DEI. He is allowed to take 4 members oF the #8 team with him. Tony Gibson will finish the season as Jrs crew chief, then Mark Martin and his chief will take over the 8.

Jr might be testing for HMS as early as next month at Atlanta. Hendrick said he's considering talking to other car owners to see if they'd be willing to swap some drivers so teams could get a head start on next season. "Car owners do work together, so we'll see if that's a possibility," Hendrick said. "But we don't have anything planned at this time."

Also Jr will run 7 Busch races next year

no way Kyle moves to the 18 in the middle of the Chase. that's the only way i can think Jr can go to Hendrick early.

never know, I think Kyle is just as ready to leave Hendrick as Jr is ready to leave DEI... but not sure about Yeley or how the points would work?

driver points are separate from owner points, so any points go wherever the driver goes. at least that's how i understand it.

i just wouldn't understand why, even if you are ready to go, you'd want to jump ship in the middle of a Chase run.

i dunno though. i guess we shall see.

Yeah I know what youre saying... I was just thinkin of it like that bc Kyle seemed ready to leave HMS as soon as they announced Jr was coming; after all, he whined about not getting help from JJ or JG...so why not to on to Gibbs, work with Stewart and Hamlin, and show Hendrick what hes letting go? (far fetched I know, guess I just really wanna see if Jr will be any better with HMS equipment)

I think they're just trying to get all of the guys to test with their new teams at Atlanta, not start driving for them during the races.

yeah I think you may be right, guess I was a lil too anxious when I read that even still, theyre waiting on Teresa to let Jr test for HMS... hes the only one theyre waiting on, imagine that
