| isn't the attraction to Bristol that it's 43 cars on a high banked half mile track? wrecking or bumping others isn't racing. 3 wide into turn 1 and actually being able to pass cars without doing the above mentioned is racing at it's finest. the new surface is amazing. after this year i was considering only doing the fall race from here on, but you'll see me there every year for every race from now on.
and i wasn't wearing an orange shirt last night to whoever was asking. |

| I understand what you're saying by way of wrecking isn't racing, however, isn't wrecking what made Bristol famous? Bristol has never had side-by-side racing, it's always been a one-groove race track, thus you had to bump someone out of the way to get by them. That is what the attraction to Bristol is, in my opinion. Nobody ever went there to see 43 cars run in a straight line and not hit anyone. I agree, the new surface is great. But it's not what people come to Bristol to see, at least most people. They come to see someone leading get knocked out of the way, and that didn't happen anywhere in the field last night. |

| if you haven't read a bad review of the racing then you haven't been reading much. Sure, the drivers loved the track because they don't have to knock each other out of the way, but to those who watched it, it wasn't that great. |

shoot, even the Busch race was great, and that's usually a snooze fest. i got some great pics i'll put soon. |
I totally agree Doozer. Typical NASCAR fans -want to see wrecks and cautions instead of great racing. |

| I do have to say that the announcers right now are horrible. I know Waltrip can be goofy- but at least you can tell he is passionate and gets excited when the racing is great. Mike Joy, McReynolds, and Waltrip are much better than what we have right now. |

| David Poole is a moron. listen to his radio show on SIRIUS, talk about a waste of air. his opion is about as worthless as the paper it was printed on.
also, i have already e-mail Newton tell him what a schmuck he is (nicely). |

| i don't care that you don't like the columnists, that wasn't the issue at hand. The fact was that you didn't think the racing was bad there, while most people who watched the race, including the guys who get paid to cover it, thought it was. |

| so is that why the whole PRN crew was slobering at mouth over the new track surface for not only the Cup race, but the Busch race as well? i also saw a good write up in the Knoxville paper as well.
and honestly, i'm seeing more about the COT and the tire compound being the issue than i am the race track. |

| David Poole has an agenda, therefore his opinions don't count. |
