NASCAR changes for 08

With Dale Earnhardt Jr. leaving DEI, getting a new number and possible new sponsor (Visa), will there be any other driver, sponsor, number, or team changes next year?

It all depends, if Junior somehow manages to go to Hendrick someone from there will be leaving to make room, but I don't think there is any significant changes.

i would expect Toyota to bring in a few more teams, which will mean new numbers and teams, but right now the main two guys who will be changing are Jr. and possibly Greg Biffle, who's contract is up at Roush and has no sponsor lined up for next season. Also, Mark Martin may not be racing next season, so the 01 will need a full-time driver, most likely Regan Smith.

We've heard about Mark retiring for a couple of years, there's an outside chance he goes somewhere and runs the full schedule.

Martin has a 3 year deal with Ginn, so he'll probably race a little bit of everything again next year like he is this year.

All of the other dominoes will start to fall whenever Jr. decides where he's going.

I just hope Mark doesn't decide to go run the truck series full time because we'll see the him do the same thing that Carl Edwards is doing to the Busch Series.
