| Gordon the great Jeff Gordon is the greatest NASCAR driver of all-time. He is just 35 years old and has accumulated these stats:
4 time champion
3 time Daytona 500 champion
78 wins
61 poles
3 time All-Star race winner
222 top 5's
297 top 10's
18,838 laps led
85 million in earnings
484 starts
16 seasons
He has at least 5 more years left in his prime.
He will rewrite the record books, which many said he would do 16 years ago when he came in as a rookie.
Will anyone active ever catch these stats or is Gordon once in a hundred years driver?
Will Jeffrey Earnhardt be this good? |

One never knows what could happen down the road. It's still early yet. I think by the time Jeff is 40, barring any major health problems or injuries, he'll have 15 more wins. One never knows. Look a Kasey Kahne last year with 6 but none so far this year.

| | Coach Martin Supporter! | Like him or not he's easily in the top three all-time with The King and Sr.....Right now I'd place him third. No one will catch Petty's all time wins record because times were ALOT different back then. The competition is better than it has ever been. Jeff has a shot at 7 championships or more but it's going to be very hard. Alot of fans don't realize how many career poles he has. |

| | Senior Member | One must wonder what Petty's winning percentage is if you factor out the 8 year winless streak in which his career ended.
