| If you are Kenseth or Johnson... ...you better be glad ole Smoke isn't in the Chase. otherwise, you're irrelevant right now.

It's the 48's to lose at this point. Kenseth has been barely hanging on, somehow. He's yet to finish higher than 4th in the Chase.

| | Senior Member | Yall gotta admit that JR. has overcome alot of crap and is still in this thing. He should have won freakin Talladega among other things that have happened. Also, Denny Hamlin is a rookie and is only 81 points out. WOW |

| | Go Vols!!!!!!! | Yea, Jr still has a shot. I say he wins next week and JJ hits the wall. (not too hard of course, just tears up the car) |

while Junior may not have a shot, i have been really impressed with him this year. his attitude this year compared to previous years has been great. maybe he's finally growing up. i don't see how he wins it, but i would make him a favorite next year.
somehow, Kenseth is still close. i think he owes a lot to Reiser. great call to come in with 30 to go and get 4. at one point he caught the 20 and 48 and was able to pass them. where did he end up? 8th or 9th? |

| | Senior Member | Kenseth ended up 12th, according to the unofficial results.
But yeah, Reiser can manage a race.
The 8 team has probably been either the first or second best performing team during these last 8 races, but it seems like something always happens to get them back in the running order. Smacking the wall today, the last lap at Talladega, Jr. getting frustrated and over-aggressive at Martinsville, etc. They've pretty much had a top 5 car at each race during the Chase.

| | Senior Member | Some members of Riggs' crew were upset that Riggs lost control of his car and wrecked, and were yelling back and forth with Harvick as they walked back to the garage from pit road. One of Riggs' guys ended up shoving Kevin into DeLana and they both fell down. Apparently the 10 team's pit wagon was rolling through the area and clipped DeLana as well. Must have been more to it because a NASCAR official sustained a broken ankle in the ruckus. I smell a lawsuit.

| | Let there be BEER | I don't think he did. Just got loose racing to the flag and he lost it. Granted taking the air from the spoiler didn't help, but come on, is he supposed to brake and lose speed??
It was a hard hit and Riggs should be mad. He had a great car that night.

| | Senior Member | Harvick said he touched him, but Riggs was already sideways loose by the time he did, if he even did touch him.
