| Does Dale Earnhardt Jr. win the Nascar Championship?
Thread title says it all. Can Jr get it done this year.

| I'm not sure. He's certainly running well enough to win it, as evidenced by the fact that he's leading the points right now. However, I'm not sure just running 5th every weekend will win the championship. If somebody (Jimmie Johnson) goes on a tear like he has in the past and wins 4 or 5 races in the chase, I doubt Jr. will get it done. As always, the roulette wheel of Talladega will be huge. You just never know what's going to happen there. | |

| I don't see him winning the championship but I have been impressed with him this season.
I've also been impressed with Steve Letarte. I thought he was a lot of Jeff Gordon's problem but apparently not. | |

| He has to win more races to even think about it. If history repeats itself, someone will get hot during the Chase and rattle off 3-5 wins. Plus, he has to win more races in the regular season or he will be behind the other drivers with more wins once the Chase starts. In reality, no I don't think he will, but he I think he has the ability. | |

| He certainly has the equipment and consistency to do it, he just has to win more races before the chase starts and keep winning during the last ten weeks. Michigan alone will not get it done. | |
