I really can't help but a get a kick out of stuff like this when a player like Ortiz gets popped for a failed drug test when he has been one of the most vocal players about the punishments that outed users should get. Wasn't he the one that said they should be suspended 100 games for one failed test?

they just need to go ahead and link scott boras to the steroid trade and get him as far away from baseball as possible. prison would be a wonderful place for him.

He must have been getting some bad info if he thought that list would remain a secret. He must get his info from the same people that advise some of our recruiting experts.

I'm not sure if I am bothered more by the players failing the tests or the person(s) responsible for leaking out the information. I have a problem with MLB telling these guys that the information will forever remain sealed from the public only to have it printed in the NY Times a few years later.

I'd rather save time and see a list of players who weren't using performance enhancing drugs.

I agree. The fact that the information is being leaked is inexcusable.

Just proof of how the Mitchell Report was one of the most biased pieces of crap ever published.

"I think you clean up the game by the testing," Ortiz said at Red Sox camp in Fort Myers, Fla. "I test you, you test positive, you're going to be out. Period.

Ortiz, who emerged as one of the premier sluggers in the game in 2003 with Boston after spending six largely forgettable years in Minnesota, believes all players on all teams should be tested three or four times a year, and any players testing positive should be banned for the rest of that season.
