| Even as a Sox fan, I think it was absolutely disgusting that the Yankees moved out of the the old Yankee Stadium. That place is an absolute cathedral of the game of baseball. | |

The structure itself is nothing that great and is essentially a '70's ballpark after they ruined it after the renovation was finished in '75.
YS is not like Wrigley or Fenway where little has changed. The new Yankee Stadium is what a renovation should have looked like. It is much more like the original than the renovated version they screwed up.
I saw two games in the old stadium and while I LOVED being the place was really a dump if you separated the stadium from the team. | |
