Good for the Rays to win some before they have to sell off all these great young players they've found and developed. Hopefully they can finish the job in the World Series
Considering they've signed a bulk of that talent to long term deals (i.e. Longoria) you may be waiting a while.

have they really? that's good to know. the more competitive teams in the MLB the better. I usually cheer for the Sox, but it can get kind of old essentially knowing at the start of the season which teams will compete and which ones won't. i don't keep up too closely with the Rays, but I kind of figured this would be a similar situation to what happens with the Marlins every few years, they do all the hard work, and then can't afford to keep the players once the big money teams come calling for those same players.

Great to see the Sox lose. No more 10 minute dedications from SportCenter. Now maybe Kenny Chesney and the rest of their Abercrombie lovin', trendy navy Boston hat wearin' fanbase will just go away, and cheer for whoever's good this year on the gridiron.

You're absolutely correct. That kind of stuff does happen and will continue to until something happens. However, in the Rays situation I believe that have Longoria, Sheilds, Kazmir, and Upton signed to long term deals but I may be completely wrong.

That's good then, the extra competition in the AL East will be good for the Sox. Until this season it had probably been since Toronto was winning World Series back in the early 90's that somebody other than the Yanks or Sox won that division. Baseball isn't like the NFL, where it's tough for a team to stay bad year after year (which is what makes what the Lions have been doing so incredible), so it's good to see one of the smaller markets rising to the top.

We'll for sure be hearing about Price for years to come. I think he'll have a very impressive career.

health is a big deal to young pitchers. If he stays healthy, he'll be very similar to Randy Johnson. His pitches look a lot like Johnson's. Maybe from a little higher arm angle, but he's gonna be deadly on lefties.

Didn't his coach at Vandy have a tendency to overuse pitchers and reduce the chances of them to be as successful in the pro's? Just something I've heard before, I have no idea if it's actually true.
