| umm don't they draw like 10K a game currently? a doubt a new stadium will triple that or something. |

| I think they would draw better if they put that somewhere on the Tampa side of the bay. |

| | VN GURU | They should play at a little league field and add the money to their payroll.

I don't know where the reasoning comes from that people won't go to a game because the stadium sucks or whatever. Look at Fenway, it's a freaking dump, but its sold out every game because of the product that the team puts on the field. |

| The proposed stadium looks sweet, and as for the new stadium worry, going broke on a new stadium has proved one of the best ways to get butts in the seats since the conception of modern sport. It's a far more proven method than actually winning games.
The only drawback is that it only gets butts in the seats for about 5 years. The city and team wind up paying for the stadium for 20-30 years. |

| Tampa is a baseball hotbed, but it's also a town that will not support a loser. Once a team wins, the fans in the bay area become some of the most supportive in all of sports. The Rays(no more Devil in the name) are under new management and will continue, albeit slowly, to make strides in the coming years. If they can manage to win 70 games this year you will see a complete change in the culture of Tampa Bay baseball and the stadium will become a real possibility. |

| Tampa Bay has some serious talent. Price is a future star barring injury. Upton is nasty. Evan Longoria, I saw this cat play in Durham. He can stroke, son.
I say that the Devil Rays will have a 3 to 4 year window in the next 10 to get in the playoffs, be that AL East championship or Wild Card. |
