| Selig's contract extended I wish I could do a selig like job and get an extension. amazing. ESPN - Commissioner agrees to three-year extension - MLB
My favorite quote: "I'm proud of what we've accomplished but there's much work to be done in many areas," Selig said. |

| i still maintain i have no problem with Selig. He's doing the best he can for the game of baseball with having to fight Fehr and the players' union every step of the way. Too many people just can't trust him because he's a former owner. No matter what he does, he'll always be considered "one of them". |

| | Bleating Minion | I can't stand the guy. He turned a blind eye to roids while it was convenient to do so and now he's holding a witch hunt to bust the very guys that made him look successful in brining the game back from the strike. |

No way could he have even pretended to try and pull off steroid regulations. |

| Fourteen million dollars a year is fairly good for a 74 year old. |

| i guess in the end it's easier for me to defend Selig because I put all my hatred into Donald Fehr. IMO, he's the ultimate of all bad guys. |

| I've been unable to do anything other than detest Selig ever since Fay Vincent was ousted. Not because Vincent was a particularly glorious commissioner or anything, but if you're just going to install one of the owners, then why even have the office of commissioner? Just call him "Head Owner" or something. Take the fig leaf of impartiality off; you're not fooling anybody. |

| | Bleating Minion | Not to mention the fact that Selig is not very good as the face of baseball. David Stern and Roger Goodell come off as smart, polished guys who are in control. Selig comes off as a car salesman with a comb over who stumbled into the job. |

Throwing out media, impressions, and all the BS and just getting down to baseball the man belongs. |
