| well despite his past few offensive performances, he was still one of my favorites b/c of his fielding. Hopefully he can figure out his hitting just not against the Braves. |

| In 2007 Andruw Jones hit:
.200 vs. Arizona DBacks
.385 vs. San Diego (I was suprised to find that)
.250 vs. San Fran
.286 vs. Colorado (very small sample size)
Just some fun facts, for the thread. |

Just some fun facts, for the thread. | If he hit the average of the above, it'd be a huge addition to the Dodgers. If he'd hit that last year with the Braves, they might have made the postseason. |

| he's had declining power and avg numbers over the last 3 years. i'm a big dodger fan and i'm not in love with it. at least it's a 2 year deal (that tells you what little demand there was). |

He still makes his share of spectacular catches, but since he's lost half a step off his jump (which I guess happens when you quit being 23), he now makes them on balls that he used to glide underneath. The balls that he used to make spectacular catches on now roll to the wall.
At the plate, he is what he is -- a .260 hitter with very good power. There'll be a month when he carries the team and a month when he'll look like he'll never get on base again. It'll be weird to see him in a different uniform next year, but it was the right move for a team with a mid-range payroll like the Braves to let him walk. $18m/yr for him is insane. |

| Glad someone else waisted thier money on him. He is the "pop up" and "strike out" king with runners in scoring position. Rarely came through in the clutch. I will never forget the last home game this year when he hit the ball hard up the middle and the SS had to make a tough diving play and he pulled up running to first half way down the line. The SS was bobbling the ball!!!! lazy. |
