1B
2B- Roberto Alomar
3B- Jones
SS- A-Rod
CF- Griffey Jr.
LF- Bonds
RF- Sosa
C- Piazza
5 Starters
Clemens
Martinez
Johnson
I think it would be safe to say that Mariano would be the closer. Hoffman can be the setup guy.
and who would the manager be?
Where should A-Rod play?

| | Senior Member | Three of the SP would have to be Johnson, Maddux, and Martinez.

My Tennessee bias was shown in the college football list and I have to give props to the best trio of pitchers to ever pitch together and show my Braves bias at the same time. |

| | Bleating Minion | As far as closers, I think you could make an argument for Rivera or Hoffman. Also, although he only closed for about 3 years, John Smoltz was about as dominant as it gets. |

| | Give me 3 more!!! | During those years Smoltz was a closer he was the best, but Mariano has been great for a long time and has been sucessful in the postseason as well. |

I agree. | Let me clarify. Mike Piazza is one of the worst defensive catchers I have ever seen play, that is why I think Pudge has the clear edge here.
I wasn't dogging your pick, I just think outside of the batter's box he is worthless.

| | Senior Member | I don't disagree, but I'm not going to discount what he's done with the bat. I'd say he's won more games with his bat than he's lost with his glove.
