so does anyone know if duncan has officially washed his hands now that the cards are done? or is it still speculation that he will leave? it might still be too early to know for sure, but if anyone has info please share.

And we could do a lot worse. I like Ted Power, a lot.

Not quite Reds related, but I'm on my way to the 'nnati today...looks like I'll be there through Friday.

Any suggestions on good restaurants or places to grab a drink?

Montgomery Inn has always treated me right. Some really damn good BBQ there.

i agree. he has done a great job with our young guys and they are very supportive of him. and like i read elsewhere if we don't promote him he is most certainly gone. i think we call the bluff and keep him.

There is a Rock Bottom brewery down near the Westin.

Mongomery Inn is a must if you have never been. Full slab of ribs. Highly recommended.

Ran up to Rock Bottom tonight...good call.

They've got a nice hefeweizen, can definitely taste a hint of banana in it. A little unusual, but nice.

And they had a pumpkin ale which hit the spot....love my seasonal beers in the fall.

That's a name I didn't expect. I'd be lying if I said I knew a lot about the guy. I guess we'll see, he can't be much worse than Dick.

i am right there with you. this one came out of nowhere. i honestly never heard his name come up in any conversation for the job. but from what i have read he seems like he might be alright. i just really figured they were going to promote within the organization even though power may not have proven that he is quite capable at the top level. well i hope he does well in getting to know our guys.

Price's team ERA+ by season in the majors.

101
118
104
114
95
93 (last year in Seattle)
105
114
115

He's been average to above average all but two seasons, so that is a very good sign.
