| It is hard to believe that out of nearly 20,000 baseball games, last nights was the most lopsided. DFA the entire team. |

| I enjoy watching baseball, especially NL Central teams... but George Grande makes it almost impossible.

| Where was that when Weathers gave up that grand slam a couple days ago?
Cordero has been lights out. Rhodes has been damn good. Weathers still scares the **** out of me. |

| True. The HR is probably more Dusty's fault for sending Weathers out there even though Pujols is something like 9-18 against him. Weathers has actually been good this year, but I still feel he is a ticking time bomb and he scares the **** out of me. |

Okay, so a run scores, you're still up 3-1, one out, double play can get you out of the inning, a base hit (maybe) ties the game, sac fly and you're still up 3-2. The problem is, Dusty cannot think outside the box enough to even contemplate such a move. I see it as ballsy. Dusty, I'm sure, would see it as wussy. Whatever. Probably would have turned a L into a W.
Dusty still cost the Reds the game long before the Pujols grand slam, though, because, and I hate to run this point into the ground, he should have had two relievers warm and ready to go and yanked Homer after the first - not second - baserunner allowed in the 8th. |

| Scary stat... Willy Taveras has one walk in his last 115 PA's. The fast Willy experiment has been a bigger failure than anyone could have predicted. |

| at least he has put the bat on the ball here recently. it would be much more scary if he had another major drought and was not walking or hitting.

| Bailey isn't throwing strikes at the same rate as Friday, but he has been very effective through 2.
He just put on a terrible attempt at a sacrifice. |
