Numerous MLB GM's and hatvol are in my corner. That's pretty good company.

Who are these numerous GM's that a 16 year old from East TN is talking too? There isn't a GM in the league that wouldn't absolutely love to have a Aaron Harang when he was in his prime 2-3 years ago. If you think otherwise you are kidding yourself.

Also, your obsession with an internet poster that has a serious Napoleon Complex is strange to say the least.

I don't talk to the GM's, but analytical thinking leads me to believe that if Aaron Harang were such an ace, he wouldn't be with the Reds. Teams would have offered too sweet of a package to turn down, considering the Reds are always out of the playoff race.

You obviously have never followed the Reds closely and seen how their ownership works. Bob Castellini has said over and over again that he will not have a firesale and start a rebuilding process. It's not that their wasn't offers for Harang, it's that Bob Castellini wasn't willing to rebuild. He bought a broken down sports car and tried to fix it by adding spare parts from other broken down cars.

I do not watch the Reds regularly, but he traded Adam Dunn and Ken Griffey Jr. Was that not a firesale?

That was dumping them in the last year of their contract to save a little cash after the Reds were already out of contention. Not really a firesale.

That's a load of crap, in '06 he led the NL in strikeouts and was tied for the NL lead in wins. In '07 he was in the top 5 in the NL in wins and 2nd in Ks. He didn't do much before then, and he hasn't done anything since but for two years Harang was an ace.

Great call on how good the whiff machine in your avatar is, as well.

As opposed to an internet poster who is such a reasoning challenged homer that he touts the Jay Bruces, Aaron Harangs, and Homerun Baileys of the world as the saviors of a franchise.

That's what they said about "The Natural" Jeff Francoeur. How's that working out for Braves fans?

He'll be a decent major leaguer. Nothing more. Just another in the long line of Austin Kearns and Adam Dunns that have passed through the clubhouse in Cincinnati. Everytime he patches a hole in his swing, they just find another one.

Jay Bruce and Homer Bailey are 22 and 23 respectively. Young guys like that usually don't come up and light the world on fire immediately. These guys would just now be coming out of college if they had went that route. Bruce will be fine. Homer's a little more of a wild card but still has plenty of time.

When did I ever say they were the saviors of the franchise? Especially Harang?

Unlike Francoeur, Bruce will occasionally take a walk.
