| | Bleating Minion | Soriano is really hard to figure out. He looks unhittable most of the time, but he gives up a ton of HRs for a reliever. |

| I just said several bad words in front of my two-year-old. Oops. |

| | Bleating Minion | Skip Caray just announced on the radio that the Braves have signed Julio Franco.
Not sure how I feel about that. |

Not sure how I feel about that. | I just heard that too. And I like you, I don't know what to think about it. It makes no real sense to bring him back, but on a totally irrational level, I like the guy and it's cool that he's coming back.
Wonder whom they're going to demote. I guess it's got to be either Thorman or somebody from the back of the bullpen. I looked up Franco's and Thorman's stats, and though they've both been awful, Franco's OBP is something like 70 points higher than Thorman's. (In only 50 at-bats, of course.) |

| I don't think they can demote anyone else from the bullpen, they already sent Devine down to make room for Smoltz. It'll either be Thorman or Davies/Reyes. |

| Probably Davies. Especially if Cox said before the game that his next start was up in the air.
I don't like carrying that many pitchers anyway. |

| Well, nevermind my last post, I just read that Davies has been moved to the bullpen, so it could be one of the guys in the bullpen with the addition of Davies to that group.
I still think adding Franco is not an upgrade to the bench whatsoever. |

| | Bleating Minion | I think it will be Ascaino getting sent down. I'm thinking that Thorman might be out of minor league options, but I could be wrong. |
