Just your typical Braves game this year. The two warning track shots with runners on late in the game just added insult to injury.

Watched the game. First one I've sat downa nd watched in quite a while. The only thing I kept thinking was "unbeliveable". Strange to see Hampton pitch.

Chipper misses the biggest series of the year with a hamstring . . . The hottest pitcher on the team has to come out after 1 2/3 because of a rain delay . . . Blow another big lead and lose a close one . . . Brian McCann sustains a concussion in a helmet to helmet collision at the plate. This just isn't their year.

Given how the local newspaper guys (O'Brien, Schultz) have turned on Teixiera for not being an "impact player" and a "difference maker," I can't believe what a pass Chipper gets for being out so much with all his little aches and pains. He's not usually hurt badly enough to actually go on the DL, of course; he'd rather just sit there and soak up a roster spot while missing a week at a time. But yet the local media acts like Teixeira's the one going through the motions, while Jones is the one sitting on the bench while the Braves' season comes to a early close.

Games played so far, out of 104: Teixeira 102, Chipper 89, and it sure seems like every time there's been a critical division series, Chipper's been out because he strained something. If I could only have one of the the two of them back next year, it sure as heck wouldn't be Chipper Jones.

With the way the market has turned out so far this year there is no reason to be a seller.

the prospects in the Bay deal were. Lilli, Brandon Jones, A-ball pitcher, and another marginal prospect.

I'm fine with moving Jones and Lili is blocked by Yunel, but it does seem alot like Tex last season.
