It's the Cubs... so it gets an asterisk.

The drunk Cubs fans are cheering for AJ. They think he's actually Kerry Wood.

This was better than Olympics that happened seven+ hours ago and a rain delay with the Braves.

I don't get the hate for the Olympics.

Quite the opposite. I love the Olympic games but dislike the coverage to date. It's abysmal.

That's because NBC doesn't cover it as sport. They cut up the footage, figure out which storylines to emphasize, and serve it up to the housefraus exactly like they'd put together a two-week reality show.

I've been mostly been watching illicit streams of the BBC coverage and it's night and day how much better it is. Entirely because they cover it like a sporting event rather than celebrity-driven entertainment.

Oh, I know. It's designed to appeal to average intellect. It's about the shot of Michael Phelps' mother, not the actual race. It's about the ultimate zoom-in during the medal ceremony. It's about building The Shire of a green hill and retarded-looking tree for Paul McCartney to sing upon during opening ceremony.

Go figure. The Yanks trade him and he's 13-3 with a 3.27 ERA with the Yanks footing most of the bill
