I prefer the old McDonalds basketball cards that you use to get with a Happy Meal. McNuggets and basketball cards.. solid combo

They did that in Texas at the What-A-Burgers. Gave away special issue cards of Nolan Ryan.

I'd imagine that some of those old gimmick cards etc.. can be worth a pretty good sum as well. Depending of how many were actually circulated.

I'll be finding out in a month or so. Probably get back on EBay and try to unload everything a little at a time.

I think with the newer ones, it's all about having the autographed and/or jersey piece cards.

Thanks for all the response guys! Like I said its really more for a keepsake for him but I was just curious since I have bought any baseball cards in about 35 years. I'm so old I remember collecting what we called Chopper Cards. They were cards of motorcycles much like you see on all these tv shows now days but I think back then you had to be a Hell's Angel to ride one of those things.

That dude that sold Jeremy Lin's rookie card for tens of thousands on like day 40 of Linsanity is looking like a fooging genius right about now. Insider trading, IMO.

It will definitely take some time doling them out one at a time for bids. I probably have around 10,000 "cards of value".
