| Holy crap, that dude was amazing. As a kid I seriously started following baseball in the 80s, and he was among my favorites. |

| Nothing fancy about Carter. 19 seasons, 11 All-Star games. Not too bad at all.
Certainly created a lot of memories for Mets fans, especially in '86.
RIP. |

RIP. | One of the most popular sports figures ever in Montreal, as well. I remember watching those strong Expo teams, with Carter, Andre Dawson, and Tim Raines, play the Braves on the Superstation when I was a kid. Don't want to talk about the Met years. The 86 season still stings today, as they rallied to defeat my Red Sox in the World Series after the....well, you know. |

It was actually a well-hit ball where, of course, Wilson's ball was just what it was. Then again, most of Carter's hits were well hit. Great hitter considering he played catcher and rarely took days off. |

| I don't know much about him. But after a quick read of his achievements. I am very upset. Anytime someone this significant passes it's a sad day.
RIP Gary. |

| Sad day indeed. Seemed like he always had a smile on his face. His looks reminded me of a lot like Sammy Hagar. RIP GC.
