Hopefully he can tie or break the record | If he could stay healthy I think he'd hit between 35-40 a year. He's hit some crazy long homers, and has some insane hot streaks throughout the year.
The last two years I think he's had 5 stints on the 15 day DL with hamstring/quad pulls.

| Rangers. Lineup is too good.

I know the Astros suck.. you don't have to tell me twice, or even once.
I've never faulted you for loving the Cardinals, so I'm not sure why you fault me for hating them.
It goes both ways... | The cardinals aren't good? Lol ok.
See the difference is you don't see me posting in astros threads about how I much I hate them or how much of a cardinals fan I am. I post in the cardinals threads. |

| I haven't watched a single pitch of post-season baseball this year, this match-up will change nothing...I guess I want the Rangers to win since they have never won it.

| Rangers in six. Can't say I'm rooting for either side, though. I guess I dislike St. Louis more than Texas.

That's the Cardinals thread... Official Thread of the 2006 World Champion St. Louis Cardinals
Feel free to post in the Astros thread. What do I care? That's what forums are for. I'll respond for you "I wouldn't waste my time because the Astros suck".
Again, me saying I hate the Cardinals is nothing. I've gotten along with the other Cardinals fans just fine. I have no ill will towards the fans, I just hate the franchise. It's not like I'm saying Lance Berkman is gay for Elvis or that Tony LaRussa is a drunk pos.
Sorry that I annoy you so much but I guess it is what is. I'm passionate about sports and as far as I'm concerned, I've expressed my dislike for the Cardinals in a respectful manner. I could say much worse things if I was trying to piss off and annoy Cardinals fans |

| Anyways... ready for this series. Astros are the only team I'm a fan of but I wouldn't mind seeing Nolan Ryan get a ring. Even if it is in the front office |

| What, pray tell, could an Astros fan possibly say to piss off a Cardinals fan? It's a nice thought, but you should probably quit while you're ahead. |

| Jealous? Are you jealous of Alabama?
Your second response isn't even worth responding to.
Not sure why we now have two Cardinals fans on their high horse and not sure what's so hard to grasp. I feel the same way about St. Louis(Cardinals) as Tennessee fans feel about any rival in the SEC. I for one am not jealous of Florida, Georgia or Kentucky. Are you?
Calling someone "jealous" for not liking something is lame. I've spent my whole life living 4 hours from St. Louis, if I wanted to be a fan, I would have been one. Far from jealous... |

| The comparison with Tennessee and its rivals isn't exactly a great one, because Tennessee has a lot of success and tradition from which its fans can always draw. We're having a rough spot, but it's not like we've never experienced sustained success before. I mean, this is Tennessee, after all.
The same can't really be said for the Astros, so the fact that you've zeroed your hatred on the Cardinals says a lot. I mean, maybe you hate them as a divisional rival, but I doubt you hate the Cubs, Reds, Brewers and Pirates as much as you hate the Cardinals. |

I've already pointed out why I don't talk trash. I have no problem with people like UTC and Vader. I've been nothing but respectful to Cardinals fans since the playoffs started but suddenly people like you are coming out of the woodwork trying to goad me into bashing them.
And surprise, surprise. You're wrong again. I hate the Cubs as much as the Cardinals. So I guess I must be jealous of them too. Right?
Like I said, bash the Astros all you want. I don't really care. They suck, who knew? It's funny that you think I'm jealous and are bashing me for liking a team that has been consistently bad. Personally, I take that a compliment seeing as I continue to cheer for a team that is awful. How did you become a Cardinals fan again? Was it when Mark McGwire hit 70 home runs or was it when they won the World Series? See... I don't really care. Truth be told, you were probably a fan well before then but it's a lot easier to cheer for a team that wins than a team that doesn't. I have my reasons for hating the Cardinals and it has nothing to do with jealousy. Think what you want though, just get off my back.... I ain't gay. Sorry |

I've noticed. *shrug* Quote: |

| No, nobody is ever jealous of the Cubs. Quote: |

| The Cardinals struggled to reach .500 the year McGwire hit 70, so that would be an awful time to jump on the bandwagon as a fair weather fan. There are baby videos of me with Jack Buck's voice playing prominently over the radio in the background, so I didn't really have a choice. Quote: |

| After hearing this one ad nauseam from Cubs fans over the years, I've come to see this as a lame point of view. You're not a better fan because your team sucks. Quote: |

| Sophistication. |
