| question (major league baseball) If a batter hits a legitimate inside the park homerun does it count on his career stats as a homerun or do you actually have to hit it out of the park for it to count as a homerun? |

| | Undercover | I saw a play once where the pitch went behind the batter and struck the bat. Everyone just looked at the ball and the umpire never said a word. Runner finally took off for first and 2 overthrows later scored. A HR without a swing!
