| That might explain Prado's demeanor a after that HBP. |

| Hmmm. Things could get testy in Denver this afternoon. Here are some other random observations:
1. Chipper, although he'll never maintain this pace, is on pace for 28 HR, 121 RBI, 81 R, and only 40 K over 104 games/381 ABs.
2. Diaz and Hinske have made for a formidable OF platoon, hitting about .350 combined with 3 HR and 12 RBI and an OPS of about .950 over 65 ABs.
3. Durbin is 2-0 3.38 in his last 10 appearances.
4. The Braves team statistics rank no lower than 8th in the majors in any major offensive statistical category (HR, RBI, R, AVG, OBP, SLUG, OPS, Steals), but are near the bottom in most pitching categories. Defensively, they're mostly middle of the pack.
It is also still my opinion that Chipper is the best 2-hole hitter on this team. Maybe if he can get his knee to a point that he can play at least 3 out of every 4 games they'll leave him at 2 and bump Prado to 6.

Two RBIs off what he did with that pitch is a gift. | The box score reflected both hits to be sharp line-drives to CF. Maybe that's just how I read it though.

| I'm paraphrasing, but he also said something like- "Everything he throws is 78mph so there's really no point in relaying anything." |

| Love it. Would love to see the pitching come around and the hitting stay this good all year. A deep run would be awesomeness. |

| | Bleating Minion | The starting pitching has been very average, but it hasn't been a big deal since the offense is producing and the starters have managed to get deep enough into games that the bullpen hasn't gotten fried. |

| Yea, but they can't continue to hope to win games by avg 8 or 10 runs a game either. How many innings are the starters averaging anyways? Can't be much better than last year I wouldn't think... |

| @Jim_Powell: Evan Gattis' 1st 99 AB's of '12(A+AA): .384/.457/.838 12 HR 37 RBI 11 BB 15 K. The low K rate lends good credibility to the rest of the #'s.
@Jim_Powell: Andrelton Simmons 1st 99 AA at-bats in '12: .323/.378/.424 9 BB 10 K 6 SB 1 CS. He's only committed one error. #Braves
@Braves: Today's lineup at COL (3:10, FSS/680AM/BRN): Bourn 8 Prado 7 Freeman 3 Uggla 4 Heyward 9 Francisco 5 Ross 2 Pastornicky 6 Beachy 1 |

| #Braves Chipper said Moyer "paranoid" about players stealing signs because he (Moyer) comes from a team, #Phillies, that always does it. Posted via VolNation Mobile |

| | Bleating Minion | I've never understood why stealing signs is such a bad thing if you're intelligent enough to do it. |
