What did Weinke do to prepare Jared Goff during his rookie year? Not much that I saw considering he didn't even begin the year on the active roster. That's a red flag for QB development. Also, Weinke has never had to recruit. Jumping into SEC recruiting sounds like a nightmare for a new recruiter.
I'm much more concerned for the common denominator in our secondary (Willie Martinez) than I am for Bob Shoop. If I were Butch, I'd consider making a move on him in the offseason.
At this time last year, Fournette was considered a heisman lock. A lot can change once every team gets into conference play. That said, Lamar Jackson is easily out front. I'd have to think McCaffrey, Barrett, and Watson will get invites to the ceremony as well. It's tough to see any of those 4...
Just wanted to say I had a great time at the pilot flying J food city check into cash Goodyear battle at Bristol. Guys its a nascar track ever heard a driver give an interview? They'll plug 35 sponsors in a 45 second answer.
Good points. 'Pathetic' may have been a little strong. However, even if Dooley had been given a 4th year, there is no way Neyland would be at half capacity for an OOC game against a Power 5 school. That speaks to the Tennessee fanbase more than anything.
Good to hear. The GT crowd was pathetic. The place was half empty (it only holds 8,600 to begin with) and there were plenty of Vol fans all over the arena. Had a great time at the game, just wish we could have hit some FTs or gotten a better look at the end.
I think we're giving GT a little too much credit here. This team was picked to finish 12th in the ACC this season. They're a decent rebounding team but aren't especially tall. Against Cornell they started 3 guards and 2 forwards who are both 6'-8". I think it will be a close game.
Also, I'll be...
Saw a couple recent posts about BMW 3 series- I have an e90 335 and love it. Sometimes I wish I had a 6-speed MT but not a huge deal. The N55 in-line 6 is so pure, it's a hell of an engine.
I don't understand why we don't run our offense similar to how Ohio State does. They run the read option but also take deep shots and have a power run game when needed. Granted, they have quarterbacks who can actually throw the ball.
