Agree 100%. Put the call in and then make the read pre/post snap.... Can't anticipate every blitz when putting in the call.

Last weeks debacle was not caused by terrible offensive play calling.... Horrible offensive line play (Debord and Mahoney) and the WRs not making route adjustments, due to the inability of recognizing corner blitzes (Azzanni), was the downfall.
