I agree with almost all of this. Butch has done a great job recruiting and academics. Hes being paid a top 20 salary to win games. If hes clearly not the guy, whats the point in waiting a few more years to find someone else?
The final say? No. But when people stop showing up to games, or start leaving early when the game is still in doubt speaks volumes and sends a message.
Thats rich coming from a guy who in the very same post is saying when and what an AD should do/say.
According to you, we should have kept Dooley for a few more years. Your logic is flawed. No shame in owning up to it.
What else is there to wait and see? Is 4+ years not enough? And if not, what are the serious expectations for the rest of the year based on those 4+ years? I just dont get wait and see. Maybe 2 years ago, but not now.
1. Weve already reached that event horizon.
2. Hes had plenty of time. One game wont change that.
3. Again, one game isnt buying him another year. And to think 10-2 is a possibility is laughable.
It was time for Fulmer to go. Kiffin was a good hire, but we all know how that ended. Then we botched the next two hires. We cant get the next one wrong.
