Anyone who is surprised by this isn't paying attention. Herring filled in last year and while he was good at racking up tackles, they were usually downfield a good bit. He lacked the athleticism to guard RBs out of the backfield. He was at least 3rd on the depth chart imo. 1. Kennan Pili 2...

He DID make a lot of tackles...8 yards down the field. With Edwin Spillman coming on so strong Herring would have rarely seen the field. He seemed to lack the athleticism and instincts required for this system.

No doubt! Think he gets more carries per game than any RB we have had in a long time.

Don't disagree at all but Wright/Sampson is undeniably a better duo than Sampson and and an unproven Seldon. At least on the surface.

QB - Better WR - Better RB - Worse ( strictly due to less proven depth) TE - Push OL - Push DL - Better LB - Better DB - Better We are a better and more complete team across the board.
