    East Tennessee Weather

After this morning's action, I'd probably push that start time a little later. It's also possible that this morning is the main event for many folks. As we saw last night, sometimes these things don't go as forecast.

To this point, the main thrust of energy has stayed just to our north and east. This evening should have more favorable trajectory for storms coming into the area. If the complex moving in this morning dissipates and allows the atmosphere to destabilize with the heating of the day, there could...

    Tiny houses

I always thought the idea was pretty neat. We tend to have a lot of inefficient space in our homes. Other countries don't have as much space and a tiny home is required. Heck, just look at small apartment spaces in large cities. If you were a person that barely stayed home, a tiny house is...

Also, I don't really root for severe weather too much, especially with all the cleanup I had to do last year. That said, if you look at the national infrared radar and water vapor loop it is quite impressive. You can easily see the jet stream energy diving toward us from the NW. Pretty neat...

Right now it's still somewhat connected to the main system, although being strung out due to the northwest flow in the jet stream. Might see a MCS or a Derecho later in the day from what develops along the tail or outflow of the current squall line.

That zone of low-level sheer due to outflow boundaries is worth noting. That's probably where rotating storms will pop up in this scenario. The current line that is well to our north has storms that are very tall. Easily tall enough to tap jet stream energy and pull it to the ground.

Keeping an eye on it for sure. Luckily there doesn't look to be a ton of sheer. However, the jet stream energy looks pretty healthy so I'm worried about straight-line wind damage, possibly widespread. This time of year these things over or under achieve based on the time of day they occur and...

That's what I think of when I envision UT football. That's the shade of orange I want - forever.
