I see this as a very good hire. She is known as a great recruiter having been the AHC at Rutgers before going to Illinois. Knows both Midwest and NYC areas in recruiting.
I was one of those people who wasn't overly excited by the hiring of CCM, but I like the man more and more. He's a solid coach who expects his players to be good on the court, in the classroom, and in the community. I respect him and am glad he is our coach. Thanks for sharing this article.
Chris Lofton doesn't meet the criteria to have his jersey retired. The only ex-vol that meets this criteria is Dale Ellis and I haven't heard anything that UT is planning on retiring his jersey soon.
I had the good fortune to meet him a time or two over the years and he was a great guy. Always nice and friendly and spoke like he had known me all his life. Knoxville, East Tennessee and boxing will miss him.
Because he enjoyed the college experience, and was the leading contender for the Heisman going into his senior year. Just my thoughts and memories of the time back in 1996.
