In a sense, the remaining Gator games are now as important as your own. You need us to lose twice in conferecne. I know you have no choice but to root for UF to lose Saturday, and that's okey dokey. But if you had a crystal ball and foresaw another UT loss in here somewhere such that you are already basically out of it, question...

Assuming they could win out and be undefeated, who would you rather see in the BCS representing the SEC, UF or 'bama?

I think that the choice is clear. So, if you have to ask your God for a Gator loss, so be it. Just remember that unless you get the job done week in and week out, too, it might turn out to be a bad choice.

The question is like fingernails on a blackboard. :D

We'll cross that bridge if we come to it.

Living here in bammerland (alabammastan) I promise even under the current circumstances, I'll take my risk with 2 other teams beating you. In that case, the Vols will represent the SEC in the BCS as we will beat LSU a 2nd time at the SECCG. I hope you guys kick bammer's arse!

With us up as high as we are right now, if we roll through the rest of our schedule, we are probably BCS bound anyway. What would be really wild is if we beat Alabama, but they still got to the SECCG and won the SEC anyway. If the cards fell right, we could sneak into the Rose Bowl without even playing in the SECCG. How funny would that be?

I don't see a scenario where a team that does not win its conference gets into the Rose Bowl. Obviously, you still could win the SEC -- its early -- but failing that I think even if you win out its at best Sugar Bowl time and that's if the SEC winner goes to Pasadena.

LawGator, it is possible that if Fla loses one sec game, and Tennessee beats GA and wins out, and GA finishes with that one loss, then Fla will have much more pressure to beat Fla State. I truly see this going down to the wire.

Remember Oklahoma in 2003?

I don't think it would happen now since they've taken the computers out of it, but I was just daydreaming about all the p.o.'d Bama fans. :D

LOL. Well, unless either Texas or USC loses it won't matter. Go Sun Devils (or Aztecs or whatever they have out there at ASU)!

I think I may be one of the few people who believes that BOTH of them are going to lose a game. Texas will lose at least one because they're Texas and Mack Brown will figure out a way to screw up a game somewhere. And the Law of Averages says that USC has to slip up eventually.

Vol fans complain about ESPN, but on their website, they are doing everything they can to make USC look beatable. I just don't buy it.

I think Texas has much more upset potential, especially considering that they have a conference championship game to play.

I would be more concerned with VATech

Yeah, but isn't their schedule kind of weak at the end? I can't remember if they have anyone left. Maybe they do. I just figured if its normal Va. Tech schedule, then they could be passed by a team having to win tough games towards the end.

I kept looking at this thinking, "He's got a trick in here somewhere." But I'm going to bite anyway.

With the situation like it is now, with the majority of Bama fans behaving somewhere between Jr. Samples and Osama bin Laden, I don't think many Vol fans would have to think twice.

While it's not going to happen, and Bama will be exposed as the pretender they are this week, I'd much rather see Florida be successful as Bama.

Florida will beat Bama.

Bama is about as close to a BCS bid as they will ever be.

They've discovered a new book down there that's making things very difficult for them. It's the NCAA Handbook.

My ideal situation for the remainder of the season is Florida beats bama and loses to Vandy and Georgia, or Georgia and LSU, but prefereably Vandy and Georgia since LSU has risen considerably on my list of teams not to like.

It used to be that I was pulling for 2 teams every Saturday, the Vols and whoever was playing Notre Dame. Now, I'm pulling for the Vols, whoever's playing ND, Bama, and LSU.

Unless of course any of the above should help the Vols by exacting pain on anyone in the country.

All it takes is for UGA to beat UF and UT to win out and its a 3 way tie and the higher ranked team goes to the Championship Game. Guess who that would be?

Hint: Not UGA or UF
