Looks like somebody is trying to get out of salary cap hell.

Like they wouldn't be. They're probably going to offer up a big contract to Aaron Rodgers or some such QB.

The Titans severely need to rebuild from the ground up. It will be a few years, but Tennessee will be back on their feet within the next five seasons.

I think they can make it back faster than that, but I think next year is going to be really, REALLY ugly.

Well, I meant to the point where it would be reasonable to see Tennessee make a run for the promised land.

We have a great team when we are healthy.

Anyway, this isn't so bad.

Mason was good, but he is replacable. We will get Tyrone Calico back from a knee injury this season and when actually did play he looked great.

Kevin Carter is over-rated. Easily replaceable, imo.

Losing Samari is going to hurt us the most, I suspect we will draft Antrel Rolle. We don't need a QB.

Nedney is just a kicker, no biggie.

I don't even remember what position Fred Miller played so obviously he wasn't that good.

Robert Holcombe is decent at best, but it looks like Troy Felming is going to make a great FB.

Sounds G-R-E-A-T, maybe the Colts will pick up Rolle and some other defensive players. Makes another Division Title for the Colts look even easier.

kevin carter is an ex probowler and great leader.

miller plays ol. and is very good.

rolle is one of the best shut down corners in the league. ouch.

mason, well, he speaks for himself. great great posession receiver.

we are :censored:

i think we are going after mike williams from usc. and a decent cb in the draft.

but my question is, why did norm chow come here if he knew we were gonna dump our talent like that?

something is up in titan town.

I will say we will probably re-sign a couple of those guys....but will lose a couple....Mason for sure I say will be back.....and Carter on Defense.....but Free-Agency is good....and who knows who's gonna be on the block.....and if we can't get anyone there we will probably sign most of the ones we release back....didn't we sign most back that we released last year???

Well I hope I'm not...but if I am lets rebuild...from the ground up....we might suck for a couple of years but we really haven't used the draft to its potential since 97-98......but hopefully these guys will want to comeback and win and not just play for the money....look at the Patriots those guys care about winning and not the money and they have 3 Super Bowls under their belts....I don't like them but they do set a good example for players and teams who want to win....

unfortuanately the pats are few and far between. all these guys want is money money money.

i wish they could live in my shoes for a while. and pay my bills on ten bucks an hour.

look at eddie george. he knew he sucked but left anyway. then took less money than we offered him.so :finger: george. and i those rich asses.

thats why i love college football so much.

Even with letting go of all of those guys, they are still only about $8 million under the cap now. They will still have to try and rework some existing contracts, and will also have to get lucky in the draft. I bet they will trade their pick, unless the cut some other guys, too.

So would the Titans maybe go after a L.Coles or other FA wide receivers and focus more on the best defensive back in the draft for their 1st round pick?

I am hearing that even though the Titans are now 8 Mil under, they are still financially limited. In regards to the Cap, just how far below do you have to be before you have comfortable room to move around and make some changes via free agency?
