Mods bear with me, this directly affects Tennessee.

So I'm not real current on the Les Miles / Michigan deal, but I'm aware of the speculation over the past few years that Miles would leave LSU for Michigan given the chance - because he is an alum? Anyway,

I hear Lloyd Carr is expected to resign on Monday... any chance that Miles is approached/hired by Michigan soon? Even if he's not hired soon, how heavily might this weigh on Mile's mind?

Could be a real indirect benefit for LSU's opponent (hopefully us!) in the SECCG if Mile's head isn't "in the game."

Ole' Miles is crazy as a loon. I wouldn't know what to expect.

If I had to throw a bone out there, I'd say he'd be even more intense and into the game because a coach has more bargaining power when he's about to send a team to the National Championship.

if LC does announce his retirement Monday, then you can rest assured that Les Miles will be fielding questions about that job until LSU's season is over.

how much will it affect them? dunno. but should we win next week, i hope the entire Knoxville press corp rushes to Baton Rouge to fan the fire......i'll take whatever distraction i can get for LSU, if we beat KY next week.

Les needs to take it, so his team will be completely demoralized IF and when we play in Atlanta.

We should see how the players are handling things, they play Arkansas on Friday.

If Carr resigns tomorrow, talk about Miles and Michigan will be at a fever pitch by then.

Dont expect LSU to not be ready for that game...they know what they're playing for.

win the NC this year and stay...what other conference would have five NC winning coaches.

LSU doesn't even need a head coach. They should just let the O Cord and D Cord run the show. It's not like they wouldn't be where they are without Miles. I hope he goes to Michigan and fails.:)

Actually they wouldn't be where they are without the ridiculous calls that Miles makes...

If they had a better coach than Miles, they would be unbeaten and probably not worrying about the ridiculous calls that turned out well.

Speculation is all there will be until the season is done.

Michigan cannot even talk to him till after their January game correct?

Miles knows they want him regardless of when they contact him.

Look how many coaches leave their schools before their bowl games.

Cutcliffe did, Brian Kelly coached two teams to victory last year because Dantonio left for Michigan State etc. There's examples everywhere

The talk up here is that UM doesnt even want Miles. Everyone just assumes they would because he is an alum. The AD st UM was quoted as saying "If Carr resigns, I wish we could clone him to be the next coach. We want someone to continue his ways". That certainly doesnt sound like Miles to me.....but anything can happen. I hope UT kicks LSU's ass in the SECCG.

Miles is former Michigan player, he has had an "out" in every football contract he has singed, it reads "MICHIGAN." Guaranteed he goes. He would be a god back there if he wins one game a year, OSU. He bleeds Maize and Blue. I hope the s--t stirs like crazy and impacts LSU to the negative side. But my main hope is simply to show up like a real Tennessee team and beat the cats--t out of UK:clapping:

Miles wouldn't fit in well with the michigan crowd, that likes quiet, conservative type coaches like Carr, Bo, etc. Miles should use the threat of leaving to get another mil from lsu.
