Took a little road trip to see Spoon at the Orange Peel in Asheville.
1. Asheville's such a great town. Ate at an Indian restaurant called Mela beforehand - very tasty.
2. Orange Peel is a great venue - it's clean, smoke free (major bonus), and it's small enough so that you are assured a good spot to view the band.
3. First time seeing Spoon live - those guys brought it big-time. I highly encourage you to check them out. New CD (Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga) is great. Very little talk - just cranked out song after song. And each song is short and sweet - not long, drawn out, boring jams.
