What is your favorite road trip as a UT football fan??? Least favorite???

my favorite trip is Athens, just because it is only a short drive from Knoxville and there are usually a ton of Vol fans who make the trip. Not to mention the scenery in Athens is second to none if you know what I mean. The town is really cool to hang out in before the game and the stadium is very nice. I like going down there.

Least favorite is Kentucky, usually because it is so cold when we play up there.

you've obviously never been to columbia or starkville. nothing says football atmosphere like an industrial park and cow pastures.

i have never been to starkville, so no, I don't know what that's like, but I went to Columbia last year, and I didn't think it was all that bad. The stadium is in the middle of nowhere but hanging out in 5 points in Columbia before the game is very cool.

and that would be fine if 5 points was right there around the stadium...unfortunately it's not.

Favorite was UGA. Had a great time and the fans treated us great before the game. After the 22-3 win they were no where to be found.

Worst is UF. Been twice and have no intention to go back. My brother went there and we made a family trip to see a game (my 2nd @ the swump). Amazing to see kids heckling my grandmom even though she was in a Gator shirt.

i was a TN/Memphis game--Johnny's last game--at the liberty bowl.....and my whole family went.....aunt, uncle, parents, brothers, cousins and grandparents......all TN fans.....and these two drunk idiots behind us--also TN fans--thought it would be a good idea to tell my grandmother to "shut up you old bitch".

let's just say.......they thought wiser from that point forward.....

knuckleheads exist in every fan base.

I've had a similiar experience in Neyland when Jason Allen got hurt.

Favorite - USC
Been to every game since 94. Best friends both went to USC and it is the one occasion every year that I drink as if I am still 20.

Don't have a least favorite.

Girls in Athens are hot, I second that.

Favorites:

Ole Miss: No experience in college football comes close to touching 'the Grove,' IMHO. The absolutely gorgeous women, the trees, the grass, the tents.....AMAZING.

USC: Though a bit shoddy, considering it is surrounded by an industrial park/fairgrounds, these fans know how to tailgate, Period. Some of the nicest fans to be found in the SEC are Gamecocks (well, before Spurrier came to town, anyways).

Athens must be mentioned as a favorite as well.

Least Favorite:

Vandy: Sure downtown Nashville has plenty to offer...just not much to offer me.

The young ladies of Athens are certainly very attractive, but let's just say that when they show up 5-10 years later down here in the bars of Atlanta, the mileage is definitely starting to show.

My favorite trip is the Fiesta Bowl for obvious reasons. My least favorite has been any of my 3 trips to Atlanta (2001 SECCG, past 2 Peach Bowls) for obvious reasons. My favorite place to go in the SEC is Ole Miss.

I will assume the knuckleheads got a taste of a knuckle sandwich. I like to go to Oxford cause it's close and there are some very hot ladies in the Grove. The hotty toddy thing is hilarious....

Only two away games for me. Can you guess? That's right...Louisville in '91 and UK everytime they play at Commonwealth. Freeze everytime and the same 'ole excuses at the end..."Wait 'til basketball season!!" Find a new slogan Big Boo fans, that ain't gonna work anymore!!!!!!

The worst is and always be UF. Its hot, sweaty, and filled with nasty orange and blue. After our last trip, my family vowed never to go back.

The second worst was Neyland Stadium in 2005. It was a graveyard. Quiet, except for the two away sections.

I loved going to LSU; IMO, the only venue that rivals Neyland in the Conference.

Athens is great for football and basketball; especially because Coach Felton is clueless as to how to stop Lofton.

Least fav is UK. It is only saved by the glory of Charlie Brown's. No better place to thaw out this side of the Arctic Circle.

i've never been to Oxford but from the sounds of things, I gotta make it a point to do so.

Auburn isn't a bad road trip either, campus is really nice.
