COD3 Map Pack deployed, KIA
Five new downloadable maps for Call of Duty 3 go up on Xbox Live, but those who download it encounter problems; developer working to resolve issues.

Last week, Activision whet gamers' appetites with the release of a new multiplayer map for the Xbox 360 game Call of Duty 3. Cybersoldiers welcomed the new map partly because it provided a new battlefield to shoot up, but mostly because it was free.
Activision is hoping enough interest was drummed up by the free map to convince gamers to pony up $10 for an additional five battlegrounds. The publisher today announced that it has released the Valor Map Pack over Xbox Live for 800 Microsoft Points.
The pack includes five new multiplayer maps created by COD3's developer Treyarch. Unfortunately for gamers who own the game on other platforms, the maps are exclusive to the Xbox 360 version.
However, those who were ready to rush into battle found their new tour of duty put on hold. Treyarch has come forward and revealed that there are problems with map pack, but did not go into greater detail.
"We understand that there are problems with the Valor map pack once it is downloaded--we are working closely with Microsoft on this right now, and we will have the issue resolved as soon as we possibly can," a post on Xbox.com reads. "Please hold tight, and I will follow up with an update as soon as we're closer to a solution."

I don't remember the COD2 maps being buggy and I don't think it's an EA game.

Actually, I think Activision is the publisher but I think Treyarch actually made it. :p

I've never even HEARD of "Treyarch".

I think that's their name. The only reason I even know that is because it was a big deal that the people who made COD2 are not the same people that did COD3.

A quick search of Wikipedia indicates that Treyarch is owned by Activision. Also, COD is the only popular series written by them... the also did the Spider-Man games, but I didn't really play either of those. :p

Even in more depth, COD and COD2 were developed by Gray Matter who Activision just merged into Treyarch... I AM familiar with that developer since they did Return to Castle Wolfenstein. :)

then need smaller maps on COD. If you playing with just 3 or 4 friends then the maps are way too big and boring.
