One thing is for certain, he has the drive to challenge the best. We didn't need anyone afraid of our competition...(i.e Butch Davis) or somebody that can't wait for another job like ND.....(Brian Kelly) so after it's all said and done I believe Lane was our best option at this time. I think he'll do a good job and maybe even a terrific one.

Kiffin is young, but growing up in his father's influence should give him experience beyond his years! I like the idea of bringing in a young guy, who theoretically will be here a long time. I think he will bring his Dad with him as defensive co-ordinator. Kind of feel bad for Chavis but I think a wholesale change is what we need. I really had a lump in my throat last night though for Fulmer, who I have always liked.

    Best, Mike

What do you think about Kiffin? Looking like he is our HC in waiting.

    AlaVOL,

Always love to talk to a fellow WWII warbird lover! My Dad flew in TBF's as a gunner in the Pacific and he got me interested in all this when I was 5! I belong to a Army Air Corps reenactment group that goes to many airshows. Check out our website at the following:
The Capital Wing of the APS. Between this and cheering for the Vols and college football in general, I don't have time for much else!!

    Have a great Thanksgiving!

Always loved WWII aircraft, build hundreds of models when I was a kid and just wish I was loaded so I could afford a Mustang and fly her around.
Been to several air shows and certainly am impressed with the newer jets etc., however I'll always love the WWII's planes the best!
