OK, OK... a little early, but its an exciting prospect. Maybe this will be the year we make a real run. I don't think we've had a strong showing since Allan Houston was a VOL (made the finals), and I can't even remember the last time we won one.

Given that the tourney is in Nashville and we're a media favorite (gasp!) we should have some great crowd support. Add in Pearl's history of tournament success, and it could be a lot of fun.

Its going to be nice having some excitement in March.

Maybe we can actually win a game in the tourney.
How/when will a person go about getting tickets to that?

SEC website indicates "Tickets ONLY available through each SEC school`s ticket offices."

Since it's at the GEC, my guess would be through Ticketmaster, although I don't see anything on their site.

I usually just scalp a couple. At least, that is what I did last time it was here.

I imagine most tickets through the SEC office are gone.

Just looked on secsports.com, and it says tickets are only available through the school ticket office.

Seems like Ticketmaster had some last time, though.

Man, I love the fact that the tourney is in Nashville again this year.

I might just go all 4 days.

And its looking like we won't play on Thursday for the first time in a few years. I'd love to make that trip, we might still be playing on Sat and Sun!

I hear you, but at least we have a reason to believe now!

Pearl is a tourney coach, its going to be fun. Great year to have the tourney in Tennessee.

Man, the last time we played on Saturday was 1992.

I'll believe it when I see it. LOL
That's pathetic. And the fact that Wade Houston was the coach makes it worse.

Are you sure that's right? I thought we played one time on Saturday after Houston made it to the championship game (I assume that's 92).

I'm almost positive.

We never made it past the quarters while Green was there.

I don't even think they let us in the tourney while KO was there (LOL, jk)

I looked it up and it looks like that was 1991.

I think I was thinking we had a bye in 98 and then won two, but we played on Thursday and Friday that year.

That really is amazing.

90-91 or 91-92?

I could have sworn it was 91-92.

Oh well, we sucked both years. LOL

I also could have sworn that tourney was in Birmingham, but the media guide says Nashville.

Damn, my brain is fried.

I think Pearl may be a tourney type coach unlike Jerry Green.

I may try to get a 4 day pass or wait till Kentucky gets knocked out on the first day. Their fans always hoard a lot of tickets.

Man that 91 year still was ugly, 12-22.

Yeah, and a quarter of those wins came in the tourney!! We were BAD news back then, especially that last year after Allan Houston was gone. He made about 6-7 wins a season difference by himself.

The tickets will not be available for sale unless the donors do not buy any. Gaylord only has about 18,000 seats and that only gets each school very few. I do have a hotel room there just in case I find some. I may go see who gets put out first and buy some.
