Tennessee continued its work for Florida on Wednesday, with the media viewing two open periods of practice.

Here are the VolQuest.com notes…

*** Along the offensive line, Chance Hall continues to see work at left tackle, while former defensive tackle Kingston Harris was working with the 2s at right guard. The freshman is still learning how to step with the correct foot, but he packs a powerful punch. Will be curious what Jeremy Pruitt has to say about this move later tonight.

*** The receivers were working on lots of new route combinations and formations Wednesday. Notably, tight ends Dominick Wood-Anderson and Eli Wolf were heavily involved. You can tell Jauan Jennings is amped for Saturday, as the junior was talking all sorts of trash on the practice field today.

*** The tight ends focused on run blocking drills.

*** The defensive backs worked on various pattern-matching sets, with Pruitt presiding over the entire period. The Gators like to run lots of trips formations to the wide side, a formation Tennessee focused on a lot Wednesday. In terms of personnel, it appears that freshman Trevon Flowers has had a strong week of practice and the safety has climbed back up the depth chart after playing sparingly since the opener. Flowers was in both the nickel and dime packages Wednesday.

*** As has been the case for a few weeks, Tennessee is practicing with seven scholarship DL — Shy Tuttle, Emmitt Gooden, Alexis Johnson, Kyle Phillips, Paul Bain, John Mincey and Matthew Butler. When the front-seven worked on third down pass rush plays, Darrell Taylor was the first OLB on the field.

*** Scouts from the Bengals, Chargers and Seahawks were at practice Wednesday.
