Currie suspended with pay pending an investigation related to termination of cause Under article 9. What does that mean or is it just fancy lawyer talk for being fired?

I can't find the long form agreement for Currie, but UT tends to recycle language across contracts (which is 100% the way it's done). Check out Butch's contract, section 3.2.4.

"In its sole discretion, the University may suspend Coach with pay pending an investigation or decision relating to termination for cause under this Section 3.2."

The "for pay" suspension appears to be a first step towards firing with cause.
